LAHORE: The Sports Board Punjab (SBP) has issued the schedule of trials for 17 sports to finalise its contingent to compete in the upcoming 2nd Quaid-e-Azam Inter-Provincial Games being held in Islamabad from Dec 25 to 29. The trials will be held at different venues of Lahore on Dec 14.

Punjab is defending champion of the sports gala.

After the trials, the selected players will be trained at camps under the supervision of qualified coaches at different venues. A late announcement of the Pakistan Sports Board was made on Dec 6 with only 19 days to the start of the extravaganza. And now Punjab will hold the trials on Dec 14, just 11 days before and that means just one week of training camp will be held, which is not sufficient time to prepare players for any competition.

Athletics (Men) at PU Athletics Tracks at New Campus. For Women at Healy College, Old Campus. Hockey (Men and Women) at National Hockey Stadium. Football (Men and Women) at Punjab Stadium. Badminton (Men and Women) at LDA Sports Complex, Johar Town. Baseball (Men and Women) at Baseball ground, Bahria Town. Tennis (Men and Women) at Nishtar Sports Complex. Taekwondo (Men and Women) at National Coaching and Training Centre (NCTC). Kabaddi (Men) at Punjab Stadium. Judo (Men and Women) at NCTC. Karate (Men and Women) at NCTC. Boxing (Men) at Government Islamia College, Civil Lines. Wrestling (Men) at NCTC. Squash (Men and Women) at Punjab Squash Complex. Volleyball (Men and Women) at NCTC. Netball (Men) at Government Gulberg College Lahore for Women, Lahore College for Women University. Snooker (Men) at Al-Majeed Centre, Charly Pan Sanda, Khurd. Wushu (Women) at Nishtar Sports Complex, Gymnasium Hall.
