LAHORE: Robbers reportedly injured a man critically on resistance during a street crime in Qila Gujar Singh on Tuesday.

The police said two robbers intercepted Siddique, 45, on a road and snatched Rs40,000 in cash and a mobile phone from him. On resistance, they fired six shots and injured Siddique critically and fled.

The locals alerted the police and Rescue 1122 officials who shifted the injured man to a local hospital where his condition was stated to be critical.

SUICIDE: A woman reportedly committed suicide by hanging herself with a ceiling fan following domestic disputes with her husband in Iqbal Town on Tuesday.

Police said Ayesha, 30, had differences with her husband, Imran, as he was jobless. On Tuesday morning, she took this extreme step when her husband scolded her for demanding money.

The police completed legal formality and handed over her body to the family.
