ISLAMABAD: Promising Asadullah outplayed top seed Saqib Umar to win boys under-18 singles title while talented Hamid Israr defeated Hamza Roman to clinch the boys under-12 singles in the McDonald’s National Junior Tennis Championships, which concluded here on Sunday at the Pakistan Sports Complex’s tennis courts.

Third seed Asadullah took an hour and a half to eliminate Saqib in a straight sets 6-4, 6-3 victory.In the under-12 final, second seed Hamid defeated Hamza 6-3, 6-0 — with the latter hardly any resistance.

The prize distribution ceremony was attended by Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) president Salim Saifullah Khan, patron PTF Syed Dilawar Abbas, and DG Pakistan Sports Board Dr. Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera.

The tournament was organized by the Sindh Tennis Players Association.
