Man kills brother

TAXILA: A man shot his younger brother dead over a domestic dispute in Daman village in the Hazro police area on Wednesday.

According to an FIR, Nasir Ali and his elder brother Mehboob Ali got into a heated argument over fall of cattle shed. Mehboob failed to control himself and went to his room and brought a pistol and opened fire on him killing him on the spot. The accused managed to flee from the scene.

The police have registered a murder case against the accused and started further investigation. The body of the deceased was handed over to the family for burial after autopsy at THQ hospital.

Meanwhile a team of Punjab food authority (PFA) led by food safety officer Madhia Akhter raided at cold storage located near Burhan in limits of Hassanabdal Police station and recovered over one million rotten eggs.

A case has been registered against the stock owner and cold storage owner under the Food Act in this regard.
