RAWALPINDI: In compliance with the Divisional Intelligence Committee the directives, the Joint Task Force of the District Administration, Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) and local police on Saturday razed illegal offices and containers of Century Town in mouza Bagga Sheikhan.

The RDA spokesman said that during the operation, the team demolished three containers of this illegalhousing scheme.

Despite previous warnings to cease illegal advertisements, bookings, and development, the owners of the housing schemes continued to operate booking offices in violation of regulations.

He said that the RDA director general emphasised that the crackdown on illegal housing societies will persist vigorously to prevent fraud and protect citizens from exploitation.

He highlighted that public complaints regarding illegal land occupation by housing scheme owners are being taken seriously, and strict measures will be enforced against those engaging in forceful land grabbing.

“The RDA regularly informed the public and advised citizens to avoid investing in illegal housing schemes. Instead, the public is encouraged to visit the RDA website (www.rda.gop.pk) and only engage with approved housing schemes,” he said.
