LAHORE: A girl was injured here on Friday in what seems to be the latest knife-attack incident in the city.

According to initial police reports, an unidentified man intercepted a girl near Ghalib Market and attacked her with a knife. He then fled from the scene.

Police said the girl suffered a minor injury. However, an investigation has been launched into the incident.

According to police, it seemed that the girl was targeted over an enmity. A case was lodged against the unidentified man, police claimed.

A few weeks ago, a woman was injured in a similar incident in Chuhng police precincts. Police have so far been unable to trace the attacker in the case.
