MULTAN: The Government Emerson College is in need of additional classrooms and a large water tank to meet the needs of its 8,000 students.

The number of students has risen over the years as the college also offers master’s and bachelor of science (BS) classes in over a dozen disciplines.

Principal Dr Saleem told APP that a 10,000-litre water tank and new classrooms were desperately required.

He said the administration had so far managed water supply through plastic body tanks to run its drinking water coolers which needed new filters every three months.

He said the buildings department had estimated Rs10 million for constructing the water tank.
