LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge on Monday gave last chance to PTI Chairman Imran Khan to respond to Rs10 billion damages suit filed by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

Earlier, an associate of advocate Babar Awan appeared before the court on behalf of Mr Khan and sought time to submit the reply.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Azfar Sultan directed the counsel to submit the reply on next hearing on Oct 9.

Mr Sharif had filed Rs10 billion defamation suit against Imran Khan for alleging that he was offered a Rs10bn bribe by a close associate of the chief minister to drop the Panama Papers case against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
