Cricket: parking issue

Published September 19, 2017

WE all are happy on the revival of international cricket in Pakistan. But the government should ensure that nobody suffers because of this.

Lahore is the centre for university students and the blockades disturbed their routine. It was particularly disturbing for the students of Forman Christian College that the car parking of the university was reserved for the Pakistan Cricket Board. It was being used as a parking lot for the spectators who came there to watch the matches.

Because of this, it was impossible to keep the university open. The semester was already late owing to Eid holidays and was further delayed because of this problem.

This caused a lot of problem to students for they were left with very less time to study for this fall semester and it will cause problems in the coming winter semester as well.

I request the government to arrange parking for the spectators at some other place and plan a proper route for future matches.
