ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s development squad recorded a 3-0 hockey series victory against Oman after the fifth and final match of the series ended in a draw at Muscat’s Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex.

According to a press release issued here, Pakistan’s development squad after registering three consecutive victories, were held to a 1-1 draw by Oman in the last match played on Friday. The first match of the series had ended in a draw.

There was no goal in the first half. The visiting team’s captain Shajeeh Ahmed broke the ice in the third quarter.

Oman’s Khalid Juma Al Shaibi scored the equaliser in the last quarter after which no side could change the 1-1 scoreline till the final hooter.

With a total of five goals under his belt, Shajeeh finished as the top scorer in the series.
