LAHORE: Maryam Nawaz led a rally on the last day of electioneering for by-polls in NA-120 here on Friday.

Polling for the seat that fell vacant after disqualification of ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif as a result of Panama case Supreme Court verdict will be held on Sunday (Sept 17).

The rally started from

Chauhan Road in Islampura and terminated at Karim Park. Earlier, she also addressed a women convention at the residence of ex-MNA Mian Marghoob and urged the people to come out on Sept 17 to vote for tiger, the election symbol of the PML-N.

She said people would not accept “vengeance” in the name of accountability, a reference to July 28 SC verdict.

PTI candidate Dr Yasmin Rashid and PPP’s Faisal Mir continued their respective door-to-door campaigns on Friday.

Mr Mir alleged late in the evening that some PTI workers attacked his central election office at Neeli Bar Chowk, Islampura, and hurt many of his supporters there, one of them seriously.
