CHARSADDA: Two people were murdered while a bike rider was electrocuted in separate incidents here on Sunday.

The first incident occurred in Bhosakhel area, where a man was shot dead by rival after an argument.

Masood Shah, a close relative of the deceased, Ebadat Shah, told police at the district headquarters hospital, Charsadda, that he along with Zakria were talking with Ebadat Shah when accused Basit came there, argued with them and opened indiscriminate. As a result, Ebadat was killed on the spot while they narrowly escaped.

The Prang police registered an FIR against the accused who managed to escape the area.

In the second incident, a man killed his wife over a petty dispute in Mandani area. Brother of the woman reported to Mandani police that the accused, after killing his wife, fled the area. The police registered FIR and started investigation.

Meanwhile, a bike rider named Jamal Shah was electrocuted when he was hit by a high transmission line lying on the ground in Sar Dheri. The locals blamed the death on Pesco officials and demanded action against them.
