KARACHI: Former Australian cricketer Dean Jones has expressed his delight at the news regarding the World X1 tour to Pakistan and as well as Sri Lanka’s commitment to tour Lahore for a T20 game and said that he is ready to visit Pakistan as commentator during the tours.

Talking to Dawn News in an exclusive interview, Jones said: “I feel so happy to know that the Sri Lankan team and a World XI will be touring Pakistan next month and and I’m ready to come to Lahore again as commentator. It will be a great moment for Pakistan cricket”

Jones, who is also head coach of PSL team Islamabad United, said that the success of the World X1 tour and the Sri Lanka visit is likely to open the doors of international cricket for Pakistan. “These two tours are very important for Pakistan cricket,” said Jones. “I am hopeful that if all goes well, these will be key for revival of international cricket in Pakistan and will be a great boost for Pakistan cricket after the brilliant Champions Trophy triumph.”
