NOWSHERA: Nowshera police arrested two persons and recovered 71 kilogrammes of hashish from their possession here on Thursday.

Following a tip-off the police stopped a car (LEF-9317) at Wali Interchange, Akora Khattak, and recovered about 71 kilogramme of hashish from its secret cavities. The police also arrested two persons, identified as Mohammad Sadique and his wife, who belonged to Kasur.

Earlier, the Nowshera DPO was informed by an informer that an attempt would be made to smuggle hashish in a car to Punjab via motorway. He formed a team, led by DSPAdnan Azam, which stopped the car and arrested both the suspects after recovering hashish. Talking to mediapersons, the DPO said that black money of drug was being used for anti-social activities.
