THE State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) launched its SMS service to provide fresh currency notes to customers all over Pakistan on Eid.

As a citizen, I was also overjoyed and was expecting to get fresh notes easily through this service.

When I sent an SMS on 8877 on June 20, I received a reply saying that ‘all the branches have reached their limits. Booking for this service is closed now’.

It was expected that the restart of the SMS service will facilitate the public in acquiring fresh currency notes for Eid in a timely and hassle-free manner.

Eid is near. Who will solve this problem?
