WE are students of Grade V-C of Beaconhouse School System. We study under the International Baccalaureate education system which encourages inquiry towards issues that affect our society.

In our latest unit we are studying about street children and we have learnt that 24 per cent of Pakistan’s population lives below the poverty line. The country’s largest city and financial capital, Karachi, alone has millions of underprivileged children who suffer from various problems.

These children sleep on streets where they are not safe. They do not know the difference between good and bad because they have no education.

Through this letter we request the Sindh chief minister to provide shelter and food to these kids. They should also receive a good education and be provided with healthcare by the state.
