KARACHI: The State Bank on Wednesday said that upon the request of the ministry of religious affairs and interfaith harmony 10 designated banks had been directed to open designated branches on April 22-23 from 10am to 2.30pm for collection of Haj applications along with dues.

The banks are Habib Bank, United Bank, National Bank of Pakistan, MCB Bank, Al­­lied Bank, Bank of Punjab, Bank Alfalah, Zarai Tara­qi­a­­ti Bank, Habib Metro­po­li­tan Bank and Meezan Bank.

A total of 8,993 branches of these banks will remain open across the country for the purpose on Saturday and Sunday.
