QUETTA: The Baloch Students Action Committee (BSAC) has criticised the provincial government for not starting classes in the three medical colleges established in Loralai, Turbat and Khuzdar.

Carrying banners and placards inscribed with their demands, a large number of students belonging to the BSAC held a demonstration in front of the Quetta Press Club on Saturday and chanted slogans against the provincial government for not fulfilling its promise about starting classes at the colleges soon.

“At stake is the future of more than 100 students who were supposed to be enrolled in the newly-established medical colleges in Khuzdar, Turbat, and Loralai,” said a student attending the demonstration.

“We set up a hunger strike camp near the press club five days ago to press the provincial government to accept our demands, but no one, including from among its nationalist leaders, bothered to come to us.”
