QUETTA: Paying tribute to Quetta’s Bomb Disposal Squad officer Abdul Razzaq, who lost his life while defusing a bomb near Sariab two months ago, Balochistan Frontier Corps chief Major General Nadeem Anjum said on Tuesday his sacrifice would not be forgotten.

Gen Nadeem visited the commander’s residence where he met Mr Razzaq’s mother and other family members. He was a brave solider and son of a great mother who sacrificed his life for the protection of hundreds lives in Balochistan, said Maj Gen Nadeem.

A cheque for two hundred and fifty thousand rupees was handed to the family for financial support.

Mr Razzaq’s mother said her family was facing severe financial issues and appealed to the authorities to assist the family as her son dedicated his life to duty over personal life.
