Sindh move to replace IGP A.D. Khawaja

KARACHI: The Sindh government surrendered the services of provincial police chief Allah Dino Khawaja to the federal government and recommended three officers for posting as IGP.

Well-placed sources told Dawn that the Sindh government had written to Islamabad for replacing the IGP and recommended the names of Sardar Abdul Majeed, Ghulam Qadir Thebo and Khadim Hussain Bhatti for the post.

Mr Majeed is a Grade-21 officer of Police Services of Pakistan, presently posted as Additional IGP, Research Development, Inspections and Enquiries. Mr Thebo, another G-21 PSP officer, is holding the office of chairman, Enquiries and Anti-corruption Establishments, while Mr Bhatti is Additional IG Traffic.

Sindh Government is seeking spineless, corrupt individuals in the form of civil servants who will dance to the music played by the equally corrupt and mediocre PPP leadership. Not to say that PML-N is any better. May God protect Pakistan from the likes of Zardari, his cronies as well as the Sharif brothers. This nation deserves better leadership. Recent events in Pakistan are a testimony to this painful fact.

Very sad move. AD Khawaja was pursuing the policy of fair recruitment. Dozens of people Male/Female have been recruited as Police Constables with utmost transparency. A cart pushers son was selected on merit he was crying from happiness that without giving bribe his son was selected. Many other cases follow as such above. AD Khawaja has dua's of these poor people he will always be happy and content.

An honest officer is not liked in the dishonest system. Burglers, dacoits, money launderers, smugglers need those police officers who refuse to lodge FIRs against the criminals. A D Khawaja was not in the good books of the Sindh Government. He was a popular person among the public, so the public reps, notables and CSOs came out to support him against the unwanted decision of his removal from the post IG and filed a suit against the Sindh Government in the High Court. Such an incident took place for the first time in the history of Pakistan.

Wafaq must understand the law and orer situation in Karachi, these 3 names are from the most well know police officer with excellent repotation. We have already a Governer from Punjab in Sindh dharti and if ppp wants his own IGP so whats wrong in this? We are already bearing wafaq in sindh, too many migrants from Punjab and KPK in Sindh. This is nonsence again a IGP from Punjab.

Not acceptable in the context of the ongoing operation Raddul Fasad. A.D Kawaja is a upright person and a bulwark against the forces of corruption. It seems that the coterie is once again back in the driving seat and in no mood to accept any one who has the audacity to stand in their way and incumbent police chief will not let them to once again make a mockery of the law of the land.

Government and provisional employee should be resident of same city for atleast last ten years.Filling up jobs and transfer have no affiliation with people but they are slave of there master. CSS people are smart people with this kind of practice we are losing great talents.
