KARACHI: The Sindh government surrendered the services of provincial police chief Allah Dino Khawaja to the federal government and recommended three officers for posting as IGP.

Well-placed sources told Dawn that the Sindh government had written to Islamabad for replacing the IGP and recommended the names of Sardar Abdul Majeed, Ghulam Qadir Thebo and Khadim Hussain Bhatti for the post.

Mr Majeed is a Grade-21 officer of Police Services of Pakistan, presently posted as Additional IGP, Research Development, Inspections and Enquiries. Mr Thebo, another G-21 PSP officer, is holding the office of chairman, Enquiries and Anti-corruption Establishments, while Mr Bhatti is Additional IG Traffic.
