RAWALPINDI: The reconstruction of the damaged portion of the Rawal Road has been completed. According to RDA spokesman Hafiz Irfan, the 1,000-foot section of the road had been restored while the remaining work would be completed by the end of the month.

He blamed motorists for not cooperating with the workers and driving on the under-construction road and damaging it.

He said the completion of the project would ensure smooth traffic flow on the road.

In reply to a question regarding the ever increasing traffic mess on Murree Road, he said the authority had selected a firm for preparing a feasibility report on making Liaquat Bagh Chowk signal free.
