PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced a separate industrial park for women entrepreneurs of the province, which would be the first of its kind in the country.

This was disclosed by Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Peshawar, president Shamama Arbab in a statement here on Sunday.

She said that 25 industrial plots would be allotted to the women entrepreneurs in addition to the already announced package in the industrial policy in which 25 per cent of the equity would be reimbursed to the women-owned industries in the industrial estates.

Mrs Arbab appreciated the provincial government for approval of the park and said that it would play its due role in the economic growth of the country.

She commended the efforts of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company chairman Ghulam Dastagir and its chief executive officer Mohsin Sayed for their support to the initiative.
