SINGAPORE, Dec 22: Hosts Singapore posted 4 -1 victory over Iran on Monday in the men’s Junior Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) Cup.

Singapore’s goals all came from penalty corners. Mohd Farhan Basri struck the first in the ninth. Shaun Lim Shi hee made it 2-0 ten minutes later as the home team led by the same margin at the end of the first half.

After the break Singapore seemed to be in a somewhat lacklustre mood allowing Iranians to score from a quick counter attack through Arman Assadolahi in 44th minute.

Iranian goal stung Singapore to action resulting in two more goals in the 48th and 64th minute through Herman Mansoor and Mohd Farhan Basri.

Singapore play Hong Kong China in the next match.
