LAHORE: The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has announced the names of 26 probables for the national U-21 training camp commencing from Nov 12 here at the Johar Town hockey stadium.

This is the final preparatory phase for the Junior World Cup being held from Dec 8 to 18 in Lucknow, India.

Head coach Tahir Zaman said that the camp would be helpful in further improving players’ skills apart from giving him a chance to work on their mistakes noticed in the Sultan Johor Hockey tournament wherein Pakistan lost the final to Australia 1-3. He said morale of the boys was quite high after playing the final.

Probables:

Goalkeepers: Ali Raza, Muneeb-ur-Rehman, Hafiz Ali Umair.

Fullbacks: Atif Mushtaq, Hassan Anwar, Mubashar Ali, Zahidullah

Halfbacks: Abu Bakr Mahmood, Faizan, Junaid Kamal, Mohammad Usman, Tazeemul Hassan, Mohammad Adnan and Ammad Shakeel Butt.

Forwards: Shan Irshad, Azfar Yaqoob, Mohammad Dilber, Mohammad Atiq Arshad, Bilal Qadir, Mohsin Sabir, Rana Sohail Riaz, Samiullah, Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Naveed, Fahadullah Khan, Umar Hamdi.
