NOWSHERA: Jamaat-i-Islami chief Sirajul Haq on Saturday alleged that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had undermined the nation’s ideology and also deceived the people.

Speaking at his party’s two-day congregation held at Azakhel Park, Mr Haq said the ruling parties had looted national wealth and the National Accountability Bureau had failed to hold them accountable for corruption.

He demanded that the government merge Fata with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in accordance with the recommendations of a high-level committee.

The JI leader also appealed to the Supreme Court to take stern action against corruption.
