UNITED NATIONS: The United States, Afghanistan and India have agreed to align their assistance with the priorities to help the government in Kabul, said an official statement.
Delegations from the three countries met in New York on Wednesday on the margins of the 71st United Nations General Assembly, for a round of Afghanistan-India-US consultations.
“The meeting provided a forum for the US government and the government of India to explore ways to coordinate and align their assistance with the priorities of the Afghan government,” the US State Department said.
Afghan Deputy Foreign Minister Hekmat Karzai, Indian Ambassador to Afghanistan Manpreet Vohra and US Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Richard Olson, met to exchange views on the situation in Afghanistan and on regional issues of mutual interest.
Reaffirming their shared interests in advancing peace and security in the region, as well as countering terrorism, all sides welcomed the discussions focused on political, economic, and development goals in Afghanistan, including the regional dimension.
They agreed that the dialogue helps advance shared values and goals, and decided to continue these consultations on a regular basis.

Suddenly I am hearing a lot about Nepal from my neighbours. Dude what do you guys know about Nepal India relation. Our friendhip is such that forget visa, people from both countries don't even require passport to cross over. People to people interaction is such that you wont see a town in India where there are no nepali people. China can have some influence obviously being the other neighbour of Nepal and a communist ideologue of the newly formed communist regime but nepali and indian are same people with different looks.

Haven't you noted the recent visit of the Nepali PM to India and have you not noted the fact that KP Oli, the last Nepali PM who tried to play the spoil sport at the behest of China has been ousted by none other than Mr. Prachanda, a known Maoist and a China sympathizer but he too could understand that the future of Nepal lies with India and not with China.

I thought by now all parties to the conflict realize that all roads to peace in Afghanistan goes through Islamabad, therefore, I will say it again that instead of playing games with Pak focus on the question of Pak security. If US can guarantee Pak security by kicking out all Indian agents from Afghan soil then it will automatically see all hands on deck from Pak otherwise the war will go on for another 15 years or more.

The US, India and Afghanistan align to deal with Afghanistan. Pakistan was left out. This is shocking failure of PM Nawaz Sharif's foreign policy and diplomacy. Pakistan as the front-line state fighting the global War on Terror, with 60,000 Pakistanis killed has suffered and sacrificed more than any other country in the world.
PM Nawaz Sharif should have taken leadership role. Instead, he failed as a leader contributing to world peace. He has betrayed the mandate given to him for wiping out terrorism and corruption, he failed in both. We demand accountability, not just for financial corruption but also failed leadership and policies.

Pakistan sincerely wants peace in its immediate neighbourhood. Wholistic peace in Afghanistan is rooted in Pakistan not India. Afghanistan must not make the mistake which Pakistan made in early 50s by aligning itself with distant countries. It must realise that geographical proximity has to be the foremost consideration for nascent states to align their foreign policies. Any attempt to circumvent this is frought with danger.
