SIALKOT: Free and instant justice to all and a corruption-free society; this is what Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) emir Sirajul Haq pledged on Tuesday during a visit to Sialkot to offer condolence to the families of JI leaders advocate Mirza Zafar Baig and Mirza Imran Baig.

In a rare reference to the Quaid-i-Azam, the JI emir said they would try to make Pakistan as envisaged by Jinnah and Allama Iqbal. Not only this, the right wing party head said the JI had political power to ensure the early provision of “roti, kapra aur makaan” or food, job and shelter for everyone in the country. The famous slogan belongs to the PPP.

Mr Haq also pledged to purge Pakistan from corrupt rulers and politicians besides recovering the national wealth looted by the plunderers.

Sialkot JI emir Sheikh Attiqur Rehman, former MPA Arshad Mahmood Baggu and JI district spokesperson Arif Mahmood Sheikh were present.

CASE: The Satrah police registered a case against six police for hacking to death a seminary teacher in the seminary in village Wadala Sindhuaan-Satrah, Daska.

According to the first information report, complainant Muhammad Abu Bakar Sial, of Kabirwala, said his brother Muhammad Qasim had been serving as a teacher in the Madrassa Markaz Umer Farooq in the village where Muhammad Moosa and Habibullah Farooqi with their three accomplices hacked Qasim to death.

He said the accused killed his brother at the behest of Maulana Ehsanullah Farooqi, a local fourth scheduled cleric, who suspected the deceased had an affair with his wife.

Daska Deputy Superintendent of Police Lal Muhammad Khokhar said the police had handed over the body to the family after an autopsy at the Daska Civil Hospital.

Police have started investigation with no arrest.
