LAHORE: The annual National Youth and Junior Athletics Championships will be held in Islamabad on Sept 4 and 5.

More than 300 male and female athletes from Army, PAF, Wapda, Railways, HEC, Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Islamabad, Azad Kashmir, Fata and Gilgit-Baltistan will be competing for top honours at the extravaganza.

In the schedule of championships, 18 events for junior males, 14 for junior females, 16 for youth males and 14 for youth females have been included.

It has emerged that U-20 athletes, aged 18 or 19 years on Dec 31, 2016, and U-18 athletes, aged 16 or 17 years on Dec 31, 2016, can participate in the competition.
