KARACHI: Anis Kaimkhani, president of the Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) now incarcerated in the central prison, was admitted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for treatment, according to a senior official of the hospital.
The PSP chief was brought in for “epigastric pain and severe backache radiating to the leg”, said Dr Seemin Jamali, head of the emergency department of the JPMC.
He was admitted under care of a physician and neurosurgeon and several medical tests were ordered.
Mr Kaimkhani was arrested for providing treatment to alleged terrorists at the hospitals of former federal minister, Dr Asim Hussain. His case is pending before an anti-terrorism court.
