KHUZDAR: Federal Minister for Ports and Shipping Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo has expressed concern over deteriorating standard of education in the country and said that the National Party is working to provide better education opportunities to all.

He was visiting a private educational institution in his native town of Naal in Khuzdar district on Saturday.

The institution was established by a non-governmental organisation, Sachan Welfare Society, in Naal tehsil.

Mr Bizenjo said there was a need to improve the standard of education in the country so that the youth could meet the challenges of the future successfully.

Mr Bizenjo, who is president of the National Party, lauded the efforts of the Sachan Welfare Society for the promotion of education. The society deserved appreciation for establishing such a nice educational institution on self-help basis, he said, and hoped that the educational institution would play an important for the promotion of education in the area.

He said that during its two-and-a-half-year tenure the National Party-led provincial government established many educational institutions in Balochistan.

Chairman of Sachan Welfare Society Karam Khan Bizenjo gave a detailed briefing about his organisation and its aims and objectives. He said the society was bearing all the expenses of 35 orphaned children of far-flung areas.

The minister assured him that the government would cooperate with the society in its efforts for promotion of education.
