KHUZDAR: Two persons were shot dead in the Khatan area of Khuzdar town on Monday.

According to a senior police officer, armed men riding a motorcycle opened fire on a vehicle in Khatan area near a government girls’ primary school in the outskirts of Khuzdar town, resulting in injuries to two persons.

They were immediately shifted to the hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.

They were identified as Jam Muhammad Asif Faraz and Zafar Ahmed Zehri. The cause of killing could not be ascertained. However, police described the incident as targeted killing. No one has claimed responsibility for the killing. Further investigation was in progress.
