OKARA: PML-N MNA Chaudhry Riazul Haq Juj has said that Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif is keen to provide education especially for the children of brick kiln workers.

Speaking at a function arranged to observe the May Day here on Sunday, the MNA also delivered Khidmat Cards among parents working in brick kilns so that they could meet the educational expenses of their children admitted to schools.

He said the Punjab government had launched a special campaign for the admission of such children in schools.

Mr Juj said that each children would be paid Rs2,000 at the time of admission, Rs1,000 per month scholarship, a school bag, uniform and stationery through school council.

Earlier, EDO (Education) Naheed Wasif said at least 769 brick kiln families in the district had been provided Khidmat Cards in the first phase. Additional district collector Muhammad Riaz and EDO (Community) Rana Ashraf Javid were also present.
