SAHIWAL: Prince Thumbumuzi Dlamini, son-in-law of former South African president the late Nelson Mandela, visited Comsats Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) here on Saturday afternoon.

Prince Dlamini is a prince of Swaziland. He was warmly received by CIIT Director Dr Zahiruddin Sheikh, academic staff and students. Later, the prince visited Montgomery Museum located within the campus. Mian Attique, resident director of Sahiwal Arts Council, briefed him about various sections of the museum depicting the ancient Harappa civilisation.

The prince expressed keen interest in the Harappan antiquities and appreciated CIIT management for introducing the civilisation to the youth to understand the culture of their forefathers. Later, he was briefed by the director about the newly established Heritage Studies Department at CIIT. Prince Dlamini also discussed areas of mutual interests for potential collaborations.

At the end, the director presented a souvenir to Prince Dlamini, who is a director at the Mandela, Dlamini and Associates that specialises in international and local business consultation across Americas, Europe, Scandinavia, Asia and Africa.
