Asif, Saud triumph at CNS Golf

ISLAMABAD: Col Asif Mehdi and Col Saud won net and gross disciplines respectively in the senior amateur category of the Chief of the Naval Staff Golf Cup here on Saturday at Margalla Green Golf Club.

Raya Golf Club Lahore’s Col Asif Mehdi with 137 (-5) was declared winner of the net category with Brig Aslam who scored 142 grabbing second spot in the same category.

Col Saud of Peshawar Golf Club was declared winner of the gross category scoring gross 161 while Malik Afsar was adjudged as runner-up scoring 164 gross.

In junior competitions, Abdul Umar of the Margalla Green Golf Club was declared the net winner with 65 ahead of Roa Hayyan (73).

Meanwhile, Nile Alam won the gross event by scoring gross 90. Adam Khan was second with 99.

Similarly, In the second round of Amateur category Ghazanfar Mehmood from Garden City Golf Club is leading in gross with 2-under par 140.

Major Sheheryar Khan from Rawalpindi leads the net category with 4-under par 68.
