Musharraf arrives in Seoul today

ISLAMABAD, Nov 4: President Gen Pervez Musharraf will arrive in Seoul today (Wednesday) at the start of an official visit to the Republic of Korea.

He is visiting Korea at the invitation of his Korean counterpart Roh Moo-hyun.

President Musharraf, who will be accompanied by Begum Sehba Musharraf, will be received by the Korean minister of trade at the airport. He would be offered a 21-gun salute and a guard of honour on his arrival at Seoul Airbase.

President Musharraf will be formally welcomed at the Blue House, the Presidential Palace, on Nov 6, prior to his talks with the president of Korea the same day.

These talks would cover the regional, political and security situation with specific focus on the situation in Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan-India relations and nuclear crisis on the Korean peninsula. —APP
