HYDERABAD: A large number of writers, poets, intellectuals, academicians, political activists and admirers from different parts of the province including Khairpur, Tando Allahyar, Tando Mohammad Khan, Dadu, Larkana, Sukkur, Karachi, Matiari and Badin travelled to Hyderabad to attend the Urdu-Sindhi Mushaira held at the local press club late on Saturday night.

Noted academician and poet Prof Inayat Ali Khan presided over the event where Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry leader Qayyoom Nusrat was the chief guest and Prof Atique Ahmed Jilani and Mushtaque Phull were the guests of honour. Prof Inayat Ali Khan, Ilyas Shahid, Aijaz Shah, Zulfiqar Qaimkhani, Raisa Rumana Naz, Shamsa Jaffri, Shahida Noor Bhatti, Wafa Nathan Shah, Javed Sozhalai, Ghulam Mustafa Tabassum, Prof Atique Ahmed Jillani, Khalid Jehangir, Mushtaque Phull and others presented their poetic works and received applause from the audience.
