ISLAMABAD: Pakistan junior team’s camp for next month’s Sultan of Johor junior hockey tournament resumed after a four-day break at the Pakistan Army Hockey Stadium in Rawalpindi on Monday.

“This is the final phase of the camp and it will conclude on Oct 6,” an official of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) said on Monday.

The first phase of the camp was held at the Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium, Islamabad.

The official said that 26 players had already been shortlisted for participation in the event, slated to be held in Malaysia from Oct 11 to 18.

Olympian Tahir Zaman, who has recently been appointed head coach of the team, is supervising the camp while Olympian Zeeshan Ashraf and former international Mohammad Irfan are officiating as assistant coaches.
