ISLAMABAD: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) is encouraging its businessmen to take advantage of investment opportunities in Pakistan, a report on the Radio Pakistan website quoted the Saudi ambassador-designate to Pakistan Abdullah Zahrani.
In a message released on the eve of Saudi Arabia's national day, the envoy said that prospects for an economic relationship between the two countries are wide-ranging.
He said that Pakistan and KSA enjoy excellent cultural relations ─ a factor which has forged a strong bond over time. He said the shared majority religion, Islam, remained one of the main dimensions of the relationship between the two states.
Zahrani thanked the Pakistani government for supporting the Saudi stance on the Yemen crisis and appreciated Pakistan's efforts against terrorism.

Pakistan doesn't need this investment. We are still paying the price for having accepted their investment in Madrassas,radicalization of society and sectarianism back in 1979.

we have had seen enough of Saudi investments and we are all harvesting benefits for that "investment". don need more investment. we need peace, employment and a place to live proudly even with little money, but we need a respectful life.
we don need to live under shadows of so called Mullahs and Democracy sewn together. When public goes against Democracy, Mullahs will take their daggers out and vice versa Democracy will pull out its nails.

I don't see any of this investment giving any benefit to poor or middle class people of Pakistan. there's still millions of young generation don't have jobs. even if some of them do then its not good pay at all. so i don't think this investment will be doing any good to normal citizens

Saudi Arabia is one of our closest allies. They were there to support us like no one else when sanctions were imposed on us after neuclear tests. In a time when we are getting isolated in the region, we need to restrengthen our relations with the Gulf countries.

Pakistan has very few genuine friends in the international arena. In fact it has only China and KSA (and by extension the GCC) that have consistently stuck by it throughout its history. It is therefore CRITICAL that Pakistan maximise these relationships in all aspects - economic, cultural, educational, military, political etc. Remember: India's goal is to try and isolate Pakistan internationally
