FAISALABAD: A man shot at and injured an international kabaddi player in Awais Colony, Sargodha Road, on Tuesday.

Suspect Imran stormed into the house of kabaddi player Saba Sultana, 20, opened fire on her and later shot himself too. Both were shifted to Allied Hospital.

Police claimed Imran and Saba liked each other and he wanted to marry her, but Saba and her family were not ready yet.

Police said Imran’s sister and Saba were classmates.

Saba’s family told reporters she and Imran had a dispute over a laptop.

Imran’s condition was stated to be serious while Saba was said to be recovering.
