KARACHI: Legal proceedings remained suspended on Thursday at the subordinate judiciary as lawyers observed a boycott.
The Sindh Bar Council had given a province-wide boycott call in protest against what its leadership described ignoring senior lawyers for elevation as high court judges.
The courts wore a deserted look and hundreds of cases fixed at the city courts and district courts in Malir could not be taken up for hearing since the under trial prisoners were not brought to the courts because of the boycott.
