One of Pakistan’s foremost film buffs, Guddu holds the honour of maintaining the largest personal collection of Pakistani movie posters, pictures, books, postcards, CDs and audio cassettes etc.

Recently the cultural counselor from the French Embassy Martine Harleim Hamidi and Alliance Francaise Karachi’s Eric Touze visited the Guddu Film Archive premises to see the collection. They were impressed with what they saw, especially the original film poster of the 1970 Kamal-Rozina starrer Love in Europe, and appreciated Guddu’s passion for Pakistani films and its history. They then hosted a limited exhibition of the same in Islamabad soon to be followed a larger one for the public. A third exhibit is planned at the Alliance Francaise de Karachi. Guddu has already exhibited posters and photos from his personal archives on quite a few noteworthy occasions.

Love Pakistan, love Pakistani films!
