Police ban sale of toy guns

MULTAN: Police have banned the sale of toy guns in the district while issuing warning of legal action against people involved in the trade of these toys.

According to a handout issued here on Wednesday, Senior Superintendent Police Muhammad Saleem said no shopkeeper would be allowed to sell toy guns. He advised parents not to purchase such toys for their children.

“Police become confused in crimes due to the use of such toys that can also endanger lives,” he said.

The move comes a few days after policemen in Faisalabad had shot dead a teenage boy who, along with a friend, was taking selfies with a toy gun to post on Facebook. His friend was injured in the police firing.

So they just went up and shot the guy for taking selfies with a gun instead of asking questions first. And then to cover up their in competencies, they decide to ban the toys. Marvelous.

Go after the criminals and terrorists instead of making toy sellers as jobless. It is in reaction to the incident in which Punjab Police killed 2 kids after seeing toy guns into their hands.

@Realist I have seen the Pic He had the gun Pointed to Other guy's head. Why taking stupid selfies? I m not advocating Police guy but We can't just have guns pointed on others in the middle of the road just to take a freaking picture can we? And These guns Look real if looking at them from a distance.

@Ahmad ... Toy guns should be purple, yellow, red and green. These are replicas meant to be mounted on a wall, not carried in the street. Who walks around the neighborhood and goes shopping with one in his hand? This was a joke that went wrong.

Police don't have any power make new law about the sale of "Toys Guns", it's Federal Government and parliament to completely band toys guns in all over Pakistan.
