After several rumours floated about the same, Shaan Shahid has officially confirmed signing on as the lead actor of Syed Noor's upcoming action flick Bhai Wanted, his spokesperson revealed.

"Syed Noor is a senior director and writer of our industry, and it's my pleasure to work with him," he said to Dawn.com.

Over the past month, Shaan and Syed Noor have been discussing Bhai Wanted's story and its execution, and have settled on a new, more modern approach for the film.

Syed Noor had previously announced a cast, which included Nadeem, Khurram Patras and a new actor Yasir Khan, on Bhai Wanted's Facebook page.

Shaan joins the film's current cast, and the search for the film's heroine will soon begin.

In a series of subsequent posts on Facebook, it was also hinted that model/Zindagi Gulzar Hai actress Sana Sarfaraz had been cast as one of the heroines in the film, which is also said to feature an item song by Mathira.

The film, which is set in Pakistan, will go on the floors in the end of July.
