QUETTA: Two suspects were picked up in the border town of Chaman on Thursday and a large quantity of arms and ammunition was recovered from their possession.

Official sources said that intelligence personnel on a tip-off raided a shop on the wagon stand in Chaman and seized arms and ammunition.

The arms seized included 15 rocket launchers, an unspecified number of AK-47 rifles, six hand-grenades and a huge quantity of explosives.

“Security forces arrested two suspects,” officials said, adding that the two had been handed to authorities concerned for interrogation.

Meanwhile, the Frontier Corps defused two improvised explosive devices in Sui area.
