DADU: A woman and her two children were killed and a third child was injured when the motorcycle they were riding was hit by a passenger coach at Gul Mohammed Wah (canal), some three kilometres from Mehar town, on Wednesday.

The victims were on their way back home in Naseerabad from Mehar when the two-wheeler was hit by the coach on the Mehar-Larkana section of the Indus Highway, police said. The deceased victims were identified as Robina Solangi, wife of Mehboob Solangi, her 17-year-old daughter, Azeema, and son, Asadullah. Her five-year-old daughter, Waheeda, was admitted to the Mehar Taluka Hospital, for treatment. Mehboob Solangi was stated to have sustained minor injuries in the accident.

Mehar police have impounded the coach and arrested its driver, according to Dadu SSP Rukhsar Ahmed Khuhawar.
