KARACHI: Ayesha Jalal, a historian and the holder of an endowed chair at the Tufts University, US, will speak on her latest book The struggle for Pakistan at the Mohatta Palace Museum at 6pm on Friday.
The event has been organised by the Endowment Fund Trust for Preservation of the Heritage of Sindh and the Mohatta Palace Museum. The book examines issues that have affected the process of democracy and development in Pakistan over the last six decades and covers all salient features of governments, exploring the growing dissatisfaction and increasing influence of the judiciary, Kashmir, war on terror and the strife along borders.
