LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf has strongly condemned the Punjab government over the deaths of 75 children in the Sargodha District Headquarters Hospital, allegedly due to lack of medical facilities.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, PTI Punjab president Ejaz Chaudhry said the government was committing criminal negligence and children were expiring at the public hospital.

He said the Punjab government’s focus was on Metro buses, underpasses, and Ashiana Homes and nobody was caring about the poor visiting the public sector hospitals.

He said the government must provide medical facilities in public hospitals across the province for the poor.

Meanwhile, PTI Punjab general secretary Dr Yasmin Rashid said there was no governance in Punjab and Sindh at all, regretting that people were dying due to lack of medical facilities and even food.

She also expressed her deep grief over the fire in Karachi timber market.
