GWADAR: Seven suspected militants were taken into custody in Shadi Kour and Chkoli areas of Gwadar district on Thursday.

Official sources said Frontier Corps personnel on a tip-off carried out search operations in the two areas.

They said a huge quantity of arms and ammunitions were seized during the search, including three SMGs, one pistol, two 8MM rifles, one 12 bore rifle and hundreds of rounds of bullets.

An FC spokesperson said the captured men were wanted for their involvement in an attack on urea trucks in Shadi Kour area near Pasni.

They allegedly killed a person and injured three others, including an employee of Pakistan Navy, and torched the trucks, he added.

The spokesperson said the seven men had links with the banned Baloch Liberation Front. They were identified as Wahag, Zahid, Saleem, Karim, Naik Mohammad, Sadiq and Sheran.
