RAWALPINDI: Fog and biting cold have forced the contractors of metro bus project to stop work during the night.

However, Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) on Monday asked the contractors to increase the labour force in the day to complete work by December 30.

During a visit to the construction site, Commissioner Zahid Saeed was informed that the labourers would not be able to work at night and early morning due to thick fog.

The commissioner inspected Package-I (Faizabad to 9th Avenue) in Islamabad and Package-II (Peshawar Mor) and asked the contractors to complete work by December 30 so that finishing touches could be given to the project.

He said the corridor for metro bus from Faizabad to Peshawar Mor was almost complete, adding that the weather would improve in the next two days and contractors would speed up work.
