QUETTA: Security forces on Thursday arrested four suspected militants, including an Uzbek national, near Quetta's Eastern Bypass area

Security sources told Dawn.com that weapons and explosives were also recovered from the possession of the militants.

The suspected militants were linked to a banned organisation, the sources said.

They stated that the three suspects were from the volatile tribal belt in Waziristan and that one of the men was an Uzbek national.

All suspected militants were shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation. Sources also said that a major act of terror was foiled following the arrests.
